Where does TortoiseSVN save password cached files in Windows 7?
I found
Peter Mortensen
c:usersUSERNAMEAppDataTSVNCache
directory, but it is empty.
I connecting (with my Windows 7 pc) to a Folder on another Windows 7 PC on our network. I enter my network credentials and it works fine. But it does not remember them on the next login, despite me checking the Remember my Credentials. And the credentials do work. They have all the updates installed. The problem is that when they log into there major work web sites it will not save the user name (s) and password (s), even when the popup comes up and asks it you want to save it. If you use Google Chrome, it works fine. I have signed in to the 2 major web sites on my office PC.

%APPDATA%Subversionauth
It is documented in the TortoiseSVN Help document file (CHM)
ee.ee.
In Windows, there is an option (in TortoiseSVN → Settings → Saved Data → Authentication Data) to clear stored credentials in the last version.
TortoiseSVN is just the client, and if you want to add/change/delete/manage users and authentication for the SVN repositories, you have to run the SVN Server program. If you don't know where it is, it should be in your Start → Programs menu. If not there, it should be running as a Windows service you can find in Control Panel → Services. If not there, it could be found in

C:/Program Files

Use the Sysinternals file/registry access watch tool to find out for sure.
DiskMon is an application that logs and displays all hard disk activity on a Windows system. You can also minimize DiskMon to your system tray where it acts as a disk light, presenting a green icon when there is disk-read activity and a red icon when there is disk-write activity.
Process Monitor is an advanced monitoring tool for Windows that shows real-time file system, Registry and process/thread activity. It combines the features of two legacy Sysinternals utilities, Filemon and Regmon, and adds an extensive list of enhancements including rich and non-destructive filtering, comprehensive event properties such session IDs and user names, reliable process information, full thread stacks with integrated symbol support for each operation, simultaneous logging to a file, and much more. Its uniquely powerful features will make Process Monitor a core utility in your system troubleshooting and malware hunting toolkit.
Start these applications and create a new checkout of any passworded repository.

At home we have two notebooks running (1) Windows 7 Home Premium and (2) Windows 7 Professional. There is also a desktop PC running Windows 7 and a Windows XP Professional. All Windows 7 installations are SP1 and the XP installation is SP3. Three of the PCs are connected to a 100mb/s ethernet network and Netgear DGN2200 ADSL router, one WIndows 7 notebook is connected over a wireless connection to the Netgear router. The router serves as a DHCP server, gateway and wireless access point on the network.
To accommodate Windows XP, we have defined the same workgroup on all PCs. The network is set up as a Home network in Windows 7. The same users are loaded on all PCs and the respective users' passwords are the same on all PCs.
The notebooks back up daily to the Windows 7 desktop over the network.
The problem is with with the Windows 7 Pro notebook. When trying to access the Windows 7 desktop PC, it asks for a user name and password. When the user name and password has been entered, the 'Remember Password' box is ticked. The PC can then access the shared files on the selected PC. While Windows Explorer is running, I can browse the files on the other PC, but if Windows Explorer is closed and opened again later, the same PC asks for a user name and password again, despite having selected to remember the password.
While this occurs, I can access the Windows 7 desktop PC from the other Windows 7 notebook without a problem. It remembers the password that was supplied a few months ago.
I don't allow the network connection to be turned off to save power to prevent this as a reason for the problem, but it did not solve it.
Do you have any suggestions to try?
